An automated assistant can mishear. Every order RingOrder takes is a draft until your restaurant confirms it. RingOrder is a tool that answers your phone and writes down what it hears — it does not guarantee that any order, item, modifier, quantity, price or total is correct.

A tool, not your staff

RingOrder, operated by Eagles Glass Inc, answers calls to a number you point at it, takes orders using the menu and prices you provide, texts the caller a payment link, and passes the paid ticket to your kitchen. It works from the information in your account. It does not exercise judgement, does not know anything about a caller that the caller does not say, and does not replace a person who can hear tone, ask a follow-up, or notice that something is wrong.

Order accuracy is not guaranteed

Speech recognition is imperfect, and phone calls are hard: background noise, kitchen clatter, accents, speakerphones, bad reception and people talking over each other all degrade what the assistant hears. The assistant reads each order back before taking payment, but a caller may agree to a read-back that is still wrong.

  • You are responsible for reviewing every ticket before you make it, and for what leaves your kitchen.
  • Items, sizes, modifiers, substitutions, special instructions and quantities must be treated as reported, not verified.
  • If a ticket looks wrong, incomplete or implausible, call the customer back before you cook it.

Allergies, intolerances and dietary restrictions

Do not rely on RingOrder alone for anything allergy-related. A misheard or dropped word in this category can seriously harm someone. The assistant records allergy and dietary requests as free text on the ticket like any other note; it does not verify them, cannot guarantee they were heard correctly or at all, and has no knowledge of your ingredients, preparation, shared equipment or cross-contact risk.

You remain fully responsible for allergen handling, for any allergen notices the law requires of you, and for confirming allergy-critical orders directly with the customer before preparing them. If you cannot safely serve allergy requests taken by phone, do not enable ordering for those items.

Prices, taxes and totals

The assistant prices orders from the menu, modifiers and tax rate stored in your account. Those values are yours to set and keep current. RingOrder does not check that your prices are correct, that your tax rate is the right one for your jurisdiction, or that a total matches what your point-of-sale system would have charged. You are responsible for your own pricing, tax collection and reconciliation.

Availability and interruptions

RingOrder depends on telephone carriers, speech and language providers, payment processors and hosting services that we do not control. Calls can fail, drop, queue or go unanswered, and the Service can be unavailable during outages or maintenance. Keep a way for your staff to answer the phone. Do not rely on RingOrder as the only route into your restaurant, and do not use it for emergencies of any kind.

You are the seller

Your restaurant sells the food. Payments are collected into your connected payment account, and your restaurant is the merchant of record for every order. Eagles Glass Inc does not prepare, sell, handle or deliver food, is not a party to the sale between you and your customer, and is not responsible for the quality, safety, timeliness or fulfilment of any order — including refunds, chargebacks and customer complaints, which are yours to resolve.

No liability for reliance on outputs

To the fullest extent permitted by law, Eagles Glass Inc is not responsible or liable for any loss or damage arising from your use of, or reliance on, orders, transcripts, tickets or totals produced by the Service — including misheard or incorrect orders, wasted food, refunds and chargebacks, missed or lost orders, downtime, or any resulting financial loss or damage to your reputation. The Service does not provide legal, tax, food-safety or professional advice and does not replace your own judgement.

“As is”

The Service and everything it produces are provided “as is,” without warranties of any kind. Your use of the Service is also governed by our Terms of Service, including the limitation of liability described there.
